PRODUCT CATEGORIES
At Swoish Farms, our beef is available in 3 different categories: Bulk, Bundles, and Individual Packages. Click to expand each type below and learn more!
Bulk beef is available in quarters, halves and wholes (this refers to a portion of the animal). This is sold based on the hanging weight. Bulk orders are customized by filling out our Cut Instructions Form. For more detail on the ordering process, click to read our Bulk Beef Order Guide. For details on pricing, click to read our Price Flier. Buying in bulk is the “best bang for your buck” option.
Looking for a something less than a quarter, but still at a great value? Our Beef Bundle is the perfect solution! For details on what’s included, click to read our Price Flier. Contact us, and we can let you know whether we have bundles immediately available or help you place a pre-order!
We also offer Individual Packages! Please contact us with your request. We can let you know what we have immediately available, place your order over the phone, and/or help you place a pre-order!
TYPES OF CATTLE
We raise 3 different types of cattle: Holstein (we refer to this as Quality Beef. This is our preferred beef on the farm), Black Angus, and Grassfed.
On our Price Flier, you’ll see that there are price differences between the 3 types; however there is no quality difference! The reason prices are different is simply because the beef market makes it more expensive for our farm to raise Black Angus and Grassfed. Still, all 3 types are equally delicious – it just comes down to your personal taste.
WHAT SETS US APART
Reading the page about our farming practices, you’ll learn what makes our beef so healthy, but there are a couple other factors that make our product unique, compared to what you would typically buy in a major retail store.
When you buy beef from Swoish Farms, you can be assured that it will be dry aged for quality and will come from a single animal. Click to expand and learn more!
Aging is a traditional method of creating exceptionally tender beef. The process uses the meat’s natural enzymes, along with the passage of time, to slowly tenderize the meat and enhance the flavor. At most major retail stores, beef will be “hot boned”, which means after processing, the beef is immediately chilled and cut for packaging. At Swoish Farms, we take the time to dry age your beef for the best quality possible.
If you buy beef from most major retail stores, chances are, one package of burger will contain beef from many different locations, making it impossible to trace the origin of your food. Rest assured, your beef order from Swoish Farms will come from a single animal. This is important because you’ll know exactly where your beef came from and the farming practices used.
