2.    Our bulk beef is sold in portions of the animal – Wholes, Halves and Quarters.

  • Halves and wholes can be customized with the processor – this means you can choose the types of beef cuts and thicknesses.
  • Our quarter is what’s known as a side split – this means it includes cuts from the front and back quarters of the animal.
  • If ordering a quarter, customization may be limited since the buyer of the other quarter of that animal may request different cuts.
3.    Each animal is sold based on its “hanging weight” (this is the weight before your portion is cut into individual steaks, roasts and grind). Please inquire/see our Price Flier for price per pound.

  • Our “price per pound” includes all standard processing fees with our preferred processor, Johnston’s Meat Company
  • If you would like to use a different processor, we can deliver the steer within a 50 mile radius from our farm.  If the distance is more than 50 miles, we charge $1.00 per loaded mile.
    • Only the Whole beef option is available when using a different processor.
    • If that processor’s “processing fee” is more than Johnston’s, you will need to pay that difference.
4.    When you place your order with us, we will fill out your beef cut preferences on our Cut Instruction Form.  You can fill this out on your own, or we can help you fill it out over the phone.

5.    When you place an order, a non-refundable $200 deposit is due, made payable to Swoish Farms. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your order.
6.    After the processor receives and processes the animal, he will contact Swoish Farms to inform us of the hanging weight. Then we will contact you with the final cost.

  • At this point, the meat is dry aged. From the time we drop off the animal at Johnston’s, it will be 2-3 weeks before your beef is ready for pick-up.
7.    Swoish Farms will contact you when your order is ready and to make arrangements for pick-up.

  • The remainder balance is due at pick-up, with checks made payable to Swoish Farms, or by cash.
